I am attempting to make my first blanket without a pattern to go by. I figured out how to fold the corners of the blanket binding but how do I connect the two ends on the last corner?

INSERTING A PANEL

I hope that someone can help me. My brain has gone numb and I can't seem to think about what I need to do. I am trying to sewing a V-shaped panel from the bottom hem half way up the leg of a pair of blue jeans to make a pair of bell bottoms for a dance costume. I cannot seem to make the V come to a point. This is the 4th costume I have made in the last week and 1/2 and I think my brain is just sewn out. I know that this is simple and I sure hope that someone can explain it to me....

i am stumped. what is it called when a dress (usally little girls dresses) are sew at the top with like elastic strips over and over across the chest area? I really wanted to make some dresses like that for my girls but i have know idea how to do it or what its called.

i am not much of a sewer but really want to try to make a sling to carry my baby in.
i am borrowing a singer sewing machine and i believe i have it threaded correctly, at least according to the online diagram i found.
problem is the top thread keeps getting caught on the bobbin spool. why would that happen? it just goes round and round and round and doesn't bring up any bobbin thread. any help?? please!!!???

Kick Pleats

I've made a dress with a side slit and would like to alter it to have a back kick pleat instead. I'm not sure how to make that change (besides sewing up the side, of course). I have plenty of extra fabric. There is a single back seam already.
Any suggestions?

I recently began to sew and figured I wanted to try sewing a pattern project. I bought this pattern because I liked the look and thought it would be nice for the summer. My mother used to sew all them time as I grew up and said she could help me. Today I asked for some help reading the instructions on the pattern cause it looked like gibberish to me and she said she didn't know how to help me.
So far I have manage to pre-wash the fabric and cut out the needed pieces of the pattern but now...

I would like to make a king size comforter but am stumped how to machine quilt the center section of the comforter. There is too much fabric to roll up to the right side of the needle. Can it be done in sections, if so, how?

help with scalloped edge organza

I am sewing an infant/toddler dress for my daughter for her first birthday party and am using an embroidered organza with scalloped edges. I want to use the scalloped edge on the sleeve but the pattern piece has a curved edge. How do I deal with this?

Hey y'all,
I posted on here a while back. I'm a small time pro-wrestler. I taught myself to sew so I wouldn't have to spend hundreds of bucks on customized tights. Anyway, I've made some that are pretty cool with out patterns, but I thought maybe if I could find a pattern then I'd have to do less trial and error. Also I want to make myself a kind of ring robe. I'm linking to some examples of what I'm looking to make. If anyone could recommend where I could find patterns for these things...
